The Estate

Sarget de Gruaud Larose is the second wine of the Classified Growth. This wine comes from a vineyard of 82 hectares in the Saint-Julien appellation. The vines have an agerage age of 25 years and they grow in Garonne gravel. The ageing is made in barrels for at least 14 months.

59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it offers up expressive redcurrants and blackberry compote notes with hints of cassis, unsmoked cigars, dried herbs and rose hip tea. Medium-bodied, soft, very fresh and with exhilarating vibrancy, it has loads of mineral sparks on the finish.
