\nGrand Ormeau is a small wine estate whose history mirrors that of Lalande-de-Pomerol
\nwines. According to records of the illustrious F\u00e9ret guide, the reputation of Grand Ormeau
\nwines among \u2018Crus bourgeois\u2019 and \u20181er artisans\u2019 was well-established by 1874.
\nIn 1988, when Jean-Claude Beton, the inventor of Orangina, took over Ch\u00e2teau Grand
\nOrmeau, he began restoration work in the vineyards and the winery, putting his heart and soul
\ninto the project. He enlisted the help of top experts including the famous Libourne consultant
\nwinemaker, Michel Rolland.
\nIn 2017, the property was taken over by a new team. Since then, they have done everything in
\ntheir power to build upon previous accomplishments, working to the same high standards and
