Izarra (meaning “the star”) is a sweet liqueur made in Bayonne in the French Basque Country. This liqueur of basque origin is now produced in Angers, far from the original distillery. Yellow Izarra (Izarra Jaune in French) is made with 13 herbs with a predominantly almond taste.
Tasting Notes
It is a complex, aromatic drink that displays spicy and herbaceous notes with subtle nuances of honey. Izarra can be drunk on its own, on ice or in cocktails, often with gin.
