The Estate

Château Haut-Marbuzet is located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, in the north of the Médoc.
Although its origins go back to the 18th century, the estate only emerged as a leading quality producer from 1952 after Hervé Duboscq acquired it. At that moment, the vineyard of Haut-Marbuzet composed of only 7 hectares of vines but with a hard work and a remarkable effort of the Duboscq family, today the vineyard extends to 76 hectares of the southern part of Saint Estephe. Today, his son Henri Duboscq, the winemaker and owner of Haut-Marbuzet, assuring the greatest quality of the wines with a strong character, commonly referred to as a non-official Grand Cru of the Medoc.

50% Cabernet-sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet-franc

Tasting Notes

Deep dark red colour. A nose of ripe black fruits, coffee, earth, with toasted aromas. The body is strong, full and round, with powerful but ripe tannins. Good persistance on the aftertaste.
