The Estate

Château Haut-Marbuzet is located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, in the north of the Médoc.
Although its origins go back to the 18th century, the estate only emerged as a leading quality producer from 1952 after Hervé Duboscq acquired it. At that moment, the vineyard of Haut-Marbuzet composed of only 7 hectares of vines but with a hard work and a remarkable effort of the Duboscq family, today the vineyard extends to 76 hectares of the southern part of Saint Estephe. Today, his son Henri Duboscq, the winemaker and owner of Haut-Marbuzet, assuring the greatest quality of the wines with a strong character, commonly referred to as a non-official Grand Cru of the Medoc.

Blend

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc

Tasting Notes

« The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity with good density and grip towards the black pepper tinged finish. Excellent and a wine that is in the mold of previous vintages. » Neal MARTIN.
