The Estate
The Château Langoa Barton is a Third Classified Growth in 1855 from the Saint-Julien appellation. With vines averaging 35 years of age, the 17-hectare vineyard benefits from gravel soil with a clay subsoil. This Saint-Julien offers a light bouquet at first, with a blend of red and black berries, woody and tobacco notes. The palate is medium-bodied with delicate tannins which develop on red berry, tobacco and cedar aromas.
Blend
54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc
Tasting Notes
Wine Advocate-Parker :
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Langoa Barton is scented of cedar and Marmite toast with black fruit and fertile earth notes. The medium-bodied palate is oaky with a good fruit core, fine-grained tannins and nice freshness on the finish.
