The Estate

The Château Langoa Barton is a Third Classified Growth in 1855 from the  Saint-Julien appellation. With vines averaging 35 years of age, the 17-hectare vineyard benefits from gravel soil with a clay subsoil. This Saint-Julien offers a light bouquet at first, with a blend of red and black berries, woody and tobacco notes. The palate is medium-bodied with delicate tannins which develop on red berry, tobacco and cedar aromas.

54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc

Tasting Notes

VINOUS – Antonio Galloni – 90-93 / 100

The 2017 Langoa Barton is absolutely gorgeous. A wine of unusual depth and richness for the year, Langoa Barton is creamy, pliant and incredibly inviting. Super-ripe red and blue fruits, new leather, and dried flowers fill out the wine’s frame effortlessly. The blend is 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. In 2017, Langoa Barton is a lovely under the radar gem. Don’t miss it. Tasted two times.
