The Estate

Domaine de Chevalier is a world renowned wine estate from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, ranked as the Grand Cru Classé for its both red and white wines in the Classification of Graves wine of 1953 and 1959. It is one of a very few Bordeaux estates to be named “domaine” instead of “château”. The philosophy of Domaine de Chevalier is rather simple – “A great wine is born from great grapes”.

Blend

65% Cabernet-sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit-verdot

Tasting Notes

Wine Advocate-Parker : 93 / 100
The 2014 Domaine de Chevalier has a wonderful bouquet with pure blackberry, raspberry coulis and iodine-tinged aromas that seem to envelop the senses. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, superb acidity and a sense of symmetry that is uncommon in the 2014 vintage. This is a sophisticated, precise wine from Olivier Bernard that could be one of top wines of the vintage.
