The Estate

Château La Forêt is the second wine of Château La Croix Saint André, a family estate located in the village of Néac on the famous terrace of Néac-Pomerol-Saint Emilion. The vineyard benefits from a wide variety of soils : clay/gravels, clay/silica & ferruginous stones, the famous “crasse de fer”.

Blend

80 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Notes

Aged 12 months in oak barrel.
Nice deep ruby color.
Powerful nose of red fruits, leather and tobacco
This wine is aged in oak with stirring of the lees in barrels, which gives in mouth fine aromas of vanilla, coffee, smooth spices
Very well balance between open fruits and smooth tannins.
