The Estate

Located between Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion, in the Entre-deux-Mers region, Château La France stretches over 90 hectares (222 acres) of land with 78 ha planted with vines – 71ha of red grapes and 7ha of whites. Château La France is certified “High Environmental Value”, the national farm certification which promotes particulary eco-friendly practices in agriculture.
Château La France was purchased by the Mottet Family in 2009 and since then the family keep on improving the quality of their wines, regularly awarded prestigious medals.

Blend

50 % Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Franc.

Tasting Notes

Barrel ageing for 12 months.
A dark garnet colour with brownish tints. A nose presents an intense bouquet of jammy dark fruits, balck currant and blackberries, with earthy and animal aromas, forest floor, black tea and cedar. The palate is smooth and soft, with melted tannins and an earthy finish.
