Bernard Thomassin, owner of the Château de France, passionate about ornithology, had sympathy for this rare, vigorous, fierce and solitary bird, which measures up to 1.50 m and lives in the papyrus marshes of the east of Africa. He had the idea of giving his name to one of his cuvées.
